Position Details

• Position Title: Pre‑loaders
• Position Type: Permanent
• Work Hours: 4:00AM – 9:00AM*
• Workdays: Monday to Friday*
• Location: Madsen Rd, Nanaimo BC
• Shift schedules may vary based on operational requirements

Responsibilities

• Preloaders are responsible for unloading and loading packages off and on trailers, air canisters and other vehicles early in the morning.
• Lifting, lowering, and moving of packages weighing between 10 to 70lbs.
• Scanning and sorting packages based on postal codes, addresses, package dimensions.
• Understanding and recognizing postal codes, routing charts and maps.
• Standing closely with conveyor, roller belts and other equipment in the warehouse.
• Working in a team environment to ensure efficient transfer of packages.

Qualifications

• Available to work Monday to Friday*
• Ability to follow set of safety and standard procedures; Good organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically demanding work environment; Able to regularly and safely lift packages between 10-lbs up to 70-lbs unassisted;
• Must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment.
• Warehouse experience is considered an asset but not required.
• All candidates must go through a series of interviews, background and reference checks.
