SENIOR ACCOUNTANT (Hybrid)

Atrial fibrillation can cause stroke, heart failure, and other heart-related complications. Kardium has a fantastic technical team that has developed a product with strong, unique and customer-valued differentiators versus other solutions on the market: The Globe® Pulsed Field System. We have built connections with key opinion leaders who are already using the Globe System and are helping to tell our story. Having completed our global pivotal study and seeking regulatory approvals prior to starting commercial sales, we are now preparing the company to grow rapidly in this exciting market. As a member of the accounting team, you will be supporting essential accounting and finance functions including financial reporting and tax compliance, FP&A, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and internal controls. You will be a key contributor to projects that support Kardium's rapid growth and prepare it to be a public, commercial stage company. This opportunity is a hybrid work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC. Meaningful work you will be a part of Your responsibilities will include:

• Financial reporting and tax compliance
• Conducting financial planning and analysis to support strategic decision making
• Participation/review of full-cycle accounting processes
• Supporting system implementation projects (ERP and others)
• Key participant in conversion to US GAAP
• Develop and implement robust internal controls in preparation for SOX compliance.

You are suited to our approach and possess these attributes:

• CPA designation, with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience in an accounting or financial analyst role.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX 404 compliance.
• Experience working with and building complex financial models.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skill and keen attention to detail.
• Great communication skills and enjoy working in a team setting.
• Willingness to learn new things and respond to feedback.
• A proactive mindset and enthusiasm for finding innovative solutions to challenges.
• Experience in a public company preferred.

Compensation Kardium has listed the total cash compensation range that we expect to pay applicants for this role, as of the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. For candidates with more extensive experience than considered above, the pay range may be higher. As a permanent employee, you will also participate in Kardium's stock option plan.

• $75,000 - $90,000 (CAD Annually)
