The Corporation of the City of North Bay (“the City”) is accepting applications for the position of Arena Office Staff / Skate Patrol staff for Arenas. Successful candidates will be responsible for assisting with the operation of various events and activities held at the Arenas.
Responsibilities :
- Reception, cashier and office duties
- Provide information in person and on phone to public regarding arena activities and events
- Set up cash drawers, taking payments, balancing cash
- Prepare dressing room assignment sheets
- Maintain accuracy of dressing room boards
- Control the lending of dressing room keys and arena time clocks
- Providing on-ice supervision for public skating sessions and shinny hockey
- Ensuring safety of participants
- Verifying payment
- Enforcing policies and rules
Qualifications
- Current First Aid and CPR training
- Cash handling experience
- Good skating ability (experience playing hockey or figure skating is an asset)
- Customer service experience required
- Clear and pleasant manner, ability to work in a busy office environment
- Superior verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision, occasionally in a stressful environment
- Competent with computers and Office software
