Senior Counsel Privacy and Commercial Law

As Senior Counsel for Privacy and Commercial Law at ivari, you will be instrumental in defining legal strategies within a hybrid workplace. Your focus will be on compliance and contractual negotiations. This is a leadership position for a seasoned lawyer with a minimum of 10 years in corporate commercial law. You will be responsible for coaching and developing a team while navigating complex legal challenges within the financial services sector. Your role is critical to fostering a culture of learning and effective legal risk management. Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate and draft a variety of commercial contracts
- Advise on privacy regulation and compliance strategies
- Develop solutions for legal issues impacting business
- Conduct comprehensive legal research as required
- Lead and mentor unit members for optimal performance
- LLB or JD degree and Ontario Bar admission
- At least 10 years of legal experience in corporate law
- Significant contract negotiation experience
- Expertise in privacy laws and data protection
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities
