Student - Assistant Lifeguard/Instructor
Town of Tillsonburg is looking for four (4) responsible Assistant Lifeguard/Instructors to provide instructional assistance for Aquatic Programming provided to all ages, safeguarding of all patrons while swimming and assisting with health and safety requirements and emergency response. This is a seasonal student position with an option to enroll in OMERS defined benefit pension plan. Department: Recreation, Culture and Parks

Hourly Rate: $17.60/hour
Weekly Hours: up to 20

- To provide assistant instruction in the current Tillsonburg Community Centre Aquatic Programs
- To endeavor at all times to work as a team with supervisors and fellow staff members
- To understand and follow all emergency procedures and sue of emergency equipment
- To attend all staff training sessions and staff meetings
- To interact with members of the public in a helpful and respectful manner
- To be familiar with all swimming programs and provide accurate and current information to the public
- Proven track record of reliability, professionalism and good work ethic
- Performs other related duties as required and designated by the Aquatics Supervisor
Qualifications
- Bronze Cross Certification
- Standard First Aid + CPR
- Availability to work after school, evenings, and weekends.
- Must be returning to school in the fall.
