Global Solution Design Manager

This position defines and documents Agfa Heathcare Solution Architecture portfolio and transfers related knowledge to Sales and Pre-sales. You support local sales organizations to understand customer IT requirements and design suitable solutions.

As a Global Solution Design Manager, you:

• Collect and document new customer requirements related to solution architectures and initiate internal assessment process with support of IT Platform Product Management
• Create and document standard solution design guidelines and templates in collaboration with Platform Engineering, R&D and Product Management
• Create solution design business tools and templates to support decision rationale and improve pre-sales process efficiency
• Train Pre-sales on Agfa's solution architecture portfolio features and benefits
• Write RFP responses related to solution architecture
• Perform project needs analysis related to workflow, dataflow as well as existing IT Platform environment (onsite or remotely)
• Lead design discussions with our customers and present customized solution architectures
• Explain final project specific SAW (Solution Architecture Workbook) to the Order Fulfilment team to ensure seamless hand-over to deployment services teams
• Discuss and document product design issues and raise them to Product Owners

What you should bring along:

• A Bachelor or master's degree in engineering, computer science of information systems
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a technical role in a healthcare environment
• Assertiveness to get insight into the customer environment through collaboration with Agfa After-sales Services teams or directly through the customer IT staff
• The experience to remotely connect to a customer environment and collect site configuration details about Application software, Operating Systems, Middleware, VMware as well as underlying Servers, Storage and Network
• Hands-on mentality, eagerness to learn and proactiveness. You dare to challenge and ask questions
• Excellent verbal, written communication skills
• Flexibility to travel up to 30% when required
