Job Type: Permanent Salary: $94,000 – $126,000 (flexible for strong candidates, with potential to go higher) Location: Hybrid (3 days on-site, downtown) Full-time position (35 hours per week)

Your New Role
Senior VDI Engineer responsible for leading the design, implementation, and support of Windows 11 virtual desktop environments, ensuring reliability, scalability, and alignment with business objectives while driving automation and supporting enterprise infrastructure across global teams.
What You Need to Do
• Lead the hands-on design, implementation, and maintenance of Windows 11 VDI environments using Omnissa/VMware Horizon (cloud and on-premises) • Architect and support Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions in Horizon Cloud on Azure • Drive automation initiatives using Terraform, PowerShell, Python, CI/CD tools, RunDeck, and Grafana • Develop and maintain application packaging strategies using AppVolumes (AppStacks) • Provide Level 3 (L3) support, including incident resolution and root cause analysis • Implement monitoring solutions and conduct performance optimization of VDI environments • Support and administer large-scale VDI environments with global user bases • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align VDI solutions with business needs • Participate in on-call rotation and provide occasional weekend support
What You'll Need to Succeed:
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience implementing and administering Omnissa/VMware Horizon VDI solutions • Proven experience with Omnissa AppVolumes and Omnissa DEM • Strong expertise in VDI deployment, administration, and troubleshooting • Strong automation and scripting skills (PowerShell, Terraform, Python, CI/CD) – automation is critical for success in this role • Strong experience with Omnissa/VMware Horizon Cloud • Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Azure cloud services • Proficiency in Microsoft FSLogix • Experience supporting and administering large-scale VDI environments • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities • Experience working with global teams (asset) • Experience with Windows 11 multi-session environments (asset) • Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (asset) • Knowledge of ThinPrint solutions (asset) • Basic Linux administration skills (asset)
