Overview
We are building a capital-intensive energy and infrastructure platform at the intersection of AI-driven power demand, grid resilience, and advanced manufacturing.
The Company is entering an active capital formation phase and requires a CFO who can lead structuring, investor engagement, and transaction execution — not just financial management. This role is central to aligning capital strategy with commercialization and scaling objectives.
Capital Formation & Investor Interface (Primary Focus)
- Lead all capital raising efforts across equity, structured equity, and debt
- Serve as primary interface with investors, including family offices, institutional capital, and strategic partners
- Own investor materials, financial narratives, and full diligence process
- Drive transaction execution from initial engagement through close
- Partner directly with CEO on capital strategy, timing, and structure
- Support development of long-term capital strategy aligned with growth and infrastructure build-out
Financial Architecture & Strategic Finance
- Build institutional-grade financial infrastructure to support scaling operations and investor requirements
- Develop robust financial models tied to commercialization, capacity expansion, and capital deployment
- Establish reporting frameworks that meet institutional investor expectations
- Align financial strategy with operational milestones, unit economics, and margin expansion
- Support evaluation of strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and M&A opportunities
Operational & Governance Infrastructure
- Build and lead a high-performing finance function as the company scales
- Implement appropriate systems, controls, and processes to support growth
- Oversee cash management, capital efficiency, and financial discipline in a capital-intensive environment
- Ensure readiness for audits, investor reporting, and regulatory requirements through team build-out
Success in This Role (12–24 Months)
- Successful execution of initial capital raise(s)
- Establishment of institutional-quality financial and reporting infrastructure
- Credible positioning for Series A / institutional capital or large-scale project financing
- Alignment of capital strategy with commercialization and scaling roadmap
Ideal Background
- Direct experience leading capital raises (equity and/or debt), ideally $25M+
- Background in investment banking, private equity, infrastructure investing, or growth-stage CFO role
- Experience working with institutional investors, family offices, or strategic capital partners
- Track record operating in capital-intensive, high-growth environments
- Experience in one or more of the following sectors:
- Clean technology / energy
- Advanced manufacturing
- Industrial technology
- Semiconductors / photonics
- Automotive / EV
- Infrastructure or project-based businesses
- Deep tech / R&D-driven; companies
- Energy-related SaaS or hybrid models
Leadership Profile
- Capital markets-oriented operator with robust execution capability
- Able to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels in a build environment
- Clear communicator with the ability to translate complex financial strategy into actionable insights
- Comfortable operating in high-pressure, time-sensitive environments
- Strong alignment with a performance-driven, outcome-focused culture
This Role Is Not For
- Pure accounting or controllership backgrounds without transaction experience
- Candidates without direct investor interface or capital raising responsibility
- Large-company CFOs without build-stage or scaling experience
- Finance leaders focused primarily on reporting rather than capital strategy and execution
Pay
$250,000.00-$325,000.00 per year
Education
Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
Experience
- CFO level: 3 years (preferred)
- Clean energy tech industry: 3 years (preferred)
- Working for a private equity backed company: 3 years (preferred)
