About the Role
As a Registered Dietitian , you will support residents in long-term care by delivering evidence-informed nutrition care that aligns with individual needs, preferences, and values. You will report to the Wellness Manager and contribute to a resident-centered environment focused on dignity, wellness, and holistic care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct nutrition and dysphagia assessments
- Develop and maintain individualized nutrition care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on care planning and transitions
- Communicate changes in nutrition goals and interventions clearly
- Provide education to residents, families, and staff
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives focused on nutrition and hydration care
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Foods and Nutrition or related field
- Current registration with the College of Dietitians of Alberta
- Completion of a Dietitians of Canada accredited internship/practicum
- Experience in healthcare, preferably long-term care
- Strong clinical nutrition knowledge relevant to seniors’ care
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
