- Calculer le coût des réparations du camion et des nouvelles pièces si nécessaire
- Planifier ou modifier les itinéraires en fonction de l'évolution des conditions, à l'aide d'équipements informatiques, de systèmes de positionnement global (GPS) ou d'autres dispositifs de navigation pour réduire la consommation de carburant et les émissions de carbone
- Régler les plaintes des clients et répondre à leurs préoccupations
- Professionnalisme au service à la clientèle
- Faire partie d'une équipe de deux camionneurs ou d'un convoi
- Charger et décharger de la marchandise
- Obtenir des licences spéciales et d'autres documents exigés pour transporter de la cargaison sur des routes internationales
- Conduire des camions ou des ensembles articulés pour transporter des marchandises ou des matériaux
- Surveiller l'état des véhicules et effectuer l'inspection des pneus, des phares, des freins, du matériel d'entreposage frigorifique et autre équipement
- Régler les freins
- Effectuer des réparations d'urgence le long de la route
- Inspecter les camions avant, pendant et après le voyage et surveiller tous les aspects des véhicules
- Effectuer l'entretien préventif
- Recevoir et transmettre l'information au répartiteur central
- Noter l'information sur les cargaisons, les heures de service, les distances parcourues et la consommation d'essence
- Bâcher et assurer la sûreté et sécurité de la cargaison
- Transporter et manipuler des marchandises dangereuses
- Permis de conduire de catégorie AZ
- Compte rendu d'accident et d'incident
- Lettre de voiture
- Compte rendu d'accident impliquant des marchandises dangereuses
- Carnet de route du conducteur
- Rapport d'inspection (avant le départ, en route et après le voyage)
