Summary of Position

The Associate, Investments will support initiatives within the capital markets team and select real estate opportunities. Reporting into the Portfolio Manager with an indirect reporting line to the CFO and COO, the Associate will source, analyze, and manage investments across numerous strategies including listed securities, private equity, venture capital, and real estate. The ideal candidate will have a breadth of experiences across geographies and strategies, have an intellectual curiosity, and energetic and adaptive personality and thrive working in a team. The position will require excellent communication and analytical abilities while embracing that the roles serves as an ambassador for the Pacific Reach brand.

Responsibilities

• Screening investment opportunities based on investment criteria and interacting with industry professionals, including prepared conference attendance
• Conducting review of investment candidates with team prior to the eventual distribution of a written presentation to the executive committee
• Conducting in-depth analyses (qualitative and quantitative) on opportunities for investment recommendations and possible strategic changes
• Creating complex financial models to analyze industry and company-specific fundamentals
• Monitor company performance at each earnings quarter and engaging with management
• Due diligence support on real estate transactions as well as reporting and administration support within the capital markets team
• Supporting capital formation activities and other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Enthusiasm and passion for investing; competitive drive to outperform
• Demonstrated passion for the financial markets including a willingness to track equities during regular and extended market hours
• 3+ years of professional experience in investments, investment banking or capital markets
• Bachelor's degree with a major in finance, real estate, or any related disciplines as well as desire towards completion of the CFA designation
• Advanced knowledge of financial modelling and the use of technology for valuation
• Self-driven, excellent financial acumen, creative problem solver, great teammate and opportunity finder
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Enjoys working from the office full-time

Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
