Senior Development Planner Wellington County

Lead development planning in Wellington County with expertise in municipal applications, policy interpretation, and Ontario Land Tribunal representation. This full-time role is fully onsite in Guelph.The Senior Planner (Development) processes complex development applications for the Planning and Development Department. The work includes consents, zoning amendments, minor variances, subdivisions, condominiums, official plan amendments, and site plans. You will prepare recommendations, coordinate reviews, and advise councils, committees, municipalities, and partners.Key Responsibilities:
Manage complex development application files across Wellington CountyPrepare and present planning reports and recommendationsInterpret provincial plans, policies, official plans, and zoning by-lawsCoordinate peer reviews with consultants and municipal partnersProvide evidence at Ontario Land Tribunal Hearings when requiredRequirements:
Four-year planning degree or related university degreeMinimum five years municipal land use planning experienceRegistered Professional Planner designation or eligibilityPlanning Act and provincial policy knowledgeValid G2 driver's licence and reliable vehicleApply your development planning, policy, reporting, and tribunal expertise as Senior Planner with Wellington County in Guelph.
