Senior Financial Analyst

Our client, a Publicly Traded organization, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for an 18-month contract to provide maternity leave coverage. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong month-end and quarter-end foundation, with oversight responsibility for one direct report. ***This role is hybrid and is 2 days a week in office
The main Responsibilities include the following;
- Lead month-end and quarter-end close processes
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and expense reconciliations
- Update assumptions and support forecasting inputs
- Prepare and review working papers and financial statement schedules
- Support financial statement preparation
- Review work prepared by one junior team member
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of reporting deliverables
- 5+ years of progressive accounting/financial reporting experience
- Public company experience strongly preferred
- Strong reconciliation experience
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, complex reconciliations)
- Experience preparing and reviewing financial statement support
- CPA designation is an asset but not required. Overseas equivalent or equivalent work experience
- Proven ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment
