Senior Financial Analyst

Our client, a Publicly Traded organization, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for an 18-month contract to provide maternity leave coverage. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong month-end and quarter-end foundation, with oversight responsibility for one direct report. ***This role is hybrid and is 2 days a week in office The main Responsibilities include the following;

• Lead month-end and quarter-end close processes
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and expense reconciliations
• Update assumptions and support forecasting inputs
• Prepare and review working papers and financial statement schedules
• Support financial statement preparation
• Review work prepared by one junior team member
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of reporting deliverables

To be considered for this role, our client is looking for someone with the following skills/qualifications;

• 5+ years of progressive accounting/financial reporting experience
• Public company experience strongly preferred
• Strong reconciliation experience
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, complex reconciliations)
• Experience preparing and reviewing financial statement support
• CPA designation is an asset but not required. Overseas equivalent or equivalent work experience
• Proven ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment
