Position Overview

Professional, Engineering, Cabin Definition Integration – Administrative Centre (CA). The role focuses on cabinet engineering integration, collaborating with multi‑disciplinary teams and suppliers to support aircraft interior design and production.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the Cabinet Engineering focal point with Bombardier multi‑disciplinary teams and suppliers.
  • Prepare engineering documentation to support start‑of‑design activities.
  • Define technical requirements and participate in strategic planning.
  • Identify and propose opportunities for product and process improvement, such as cycle‑time reduction, production ease, and weight reduction.
  • Review specifications for accuracy and be vigilant about potential technical issues (critical designs, risks, etc.).
  • Support change requests and coordinate technical integration meetings.
  • Analyze and define technical proposals to meet program needs.
  • Participate in aircraft “go & see” in production to assess build or installation issues.
  • Communicate efficiently with colleagues, cross‑functional teams, and upper management.
  • Validate certification documents to ensure design compliance with regulations.
  • Lead technically and mentor within the larger team.
  • Develop 3D concepts for change‑management deliverables such as PCR, RFQ, and VROM.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • More than 10 years of relevant technical experience in aircraft interior completions.
  • Cabinet experience is an asset.
  • Solid experience with Catia/Enovia and Teamcenter/NX (GSD, Assy, Part Body, Drafting, etc.).
  • Strong organizational skills and project focus.
  • Ability to understand complex engineering issues and innovate in problem solving.
  • Good oral and written communication skills in French and English.
  • Collaborative mindset, adaptability to change, and customer‑satisfaction focus.
  • Self‑motivated, team player, capable of working under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Track record of meeting commitments successfully.
