Join Ontario Power Generation (OPG) as a Nuclear Safety Analyst focused on ensuring compliance and safety in nuclear operations. Utilize your analytical skills to assess transient events and demonstrate effective safety functions. In this role, you'll report to the Section Manager of the Safety Analysis Improvement Project, conducting Deterministic Safety Analysis (DSA) and evaluating safety limitations. Your engineering expertise will be pivotal in preparing safety assessments, developing analytical models, and supporting regulatory discussions. This position involves ensuring effective reactor safety systems while facilitating industry research initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform technical oversight of safety assessments and analyses
- Develop analytical models for plant response predictions
- Evaluate reactor behavior using safety analysis tools
- Determine safety analysis limits for operating compliance
- Contribute to station Safety Reports and Accident Analysis
- Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science or Engineering
- Minimum 2 years of related nuclear engineering experience
- Knowledge of reactor physics and deterministic safety analysis
- Familiarity with nuclear regulatory requirements
- Fully licensed engineer in Ontario or eligible for licensing
