PROGRAMMING - UNREAL ENGINE

What We Do

Unreal-powered projects have been on the bleeding edge of real-time entertainment for over 20 years. Our team of programming experts are always innovating to improve the tools and technology that empower content developers worldwide.

What You'll Do

We're looking for a Tools Programmer to work on the development of our import and export frameworks for the Unreal Engine. From import and export workflows to real-time interop support in Unreal scenes, we have a wide problem space for you to jump into and make an impact for millions of users.

In this role, you will

• Work with product managers, tech artists, UX designers, and other experts to gather requirements, in order to build a roadmap to drive the developments around import and export in Unreal


• Collaborate with all disciplines (i.e. product managers, programmers, artists, and designers) to identify areas for improvements, gather feedback, and design solutions for customer needs around import in Unreal Editor


• Analyze and fix common problems in a game engine such as performance issues and memory usage


• Work with Unreal Engine’s licensees to enable them to overcome their challenges importing data into the Unreal Editor

What we're looking for

• A great understanding of challenges around interoperability between 3D software applications


• Strong experience in developing importing and exporting 3D data tools in 3D software applications


• Experience writing tools that improve the customer’s user experience, iteration, and development time in game development or other fields


• Excellent C++ skills and experience developing in a large codebase


• Experience with software development tools, i.e. JIRA, Trello, Perforce


• Someone who is collaborative, user-focused, passionate, solutions-focused, and innovative.
