Finance Superintendent (Controller) (Val-d'Or)

Financial Management and Accounting

  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting operations (closing entries, reconciliations).
  • Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of accounting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Produce financial reports for management and governing bodies.
  • Collaborate with external and internal auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with tax obligations (Revenu Qubec and CRA).

Financial Planning and Performance

  • Oversee the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function.
  • Ensure the quality and reliability of financial forecasts.
  • Support operational teams in analyzing results.
  • Participate in the improvement of internal controls.

Systems and Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure the integrity of financial data within SAP.
  • Participate in the optimization of financial systems.
  • Contribute to special projects (grants, tax credits, etc.).
  • Continuously improve financial processes.
  • Perform any other related duties associated with the position.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting.
  • CPA designation (required).
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of SAP (an asset).
  • Strong leadership, rigor, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and a high level of discretion.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated leadership, ability to develop talent, and strong team spirit.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
