This position is ideal for a Structural Engineer with 5+ years of experience who is looking for greater project ownership, exposure to a wide variety of building types, and the opportunity to work alongside highly experienced professionals in a collaborative environment.
The Role As a Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in the analysis, design, and delivery of building projects ranging from renovations and adaptive reuse assignments to large‑scale commercial, institutional, industrial, and mixed‑use developments. You will be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from conceptual design and client interaction through construction administration and project completion.
Key Responsibilities Design structural systems for commercial, institutional, industrial, and mixed‑use buildings.
Perform structural analysis and engineering calculations for steel, concrete, masonry, timber, and other structural systems.
Develop construction documents, specifications, and structural details.
Coordinate with architects, contractors, owners, and multidisciplinary design teams.
Conduct structural evaluations of existing buildings and structures.
Participate in renovation, rehabilitation, and adaptive reuse projects.
Review shop drawings, RFIs, and contractor submittals.
Provide construction‑phase support and site observations.
Assist with forensic investigations and structural assessments when required.
Ensure compliance with IBC, ASCE 7, and applicable material design codes.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical development within the team.
Maintain project schedules, budgets, and client relationships.

Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of structural engineering experience.
Experience designing building structures using structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and timber systems.
Strong understanding of structural analysis and load‑path behavior.
Proficiency with structural engineering software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Strong problem‑solving and client‑facing skills.
Preferred Professional Engineer (PE) license or progressing toward licensure.
Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering.
Experience with Revit, RAM Structural System, RISA, and AutoCAD.
Familiarity with International Building Code (IBC), ASCE 7, AISC, ACITMS, and Masonry Code.
Construction administration experience.
Forensic engineering or structural assessment experience.
