Backend Software Engineer at Affirm

Shape data-driven marketing insights as a Senior Software Engineer at Affirm, focusing on backend systems and measurement technologies. This remote role allows you to tackle complex problems in a dynamic environment. As a Senior Software Engineer in the Marketing & Privacy Engineering team, you will leverage your backend development expertise in Python or Kotlin, collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver impactful measurement systems. Your role involves addressing open-ended challenges, enhancing data quality, and contributing to downstream growth outcomes. Key Responsibilities:

Own and deliver quarterly goals for your engineering team
Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics teams
Identify and advocate for project and process improvements
Support operational stability with monitoring and metrics
Foster a culture of quality through effective code reviews

Requirements:

4+ years in backend system design and development
Proficient with AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes
Experience with measurement systems and marketing technologies
Familiarity with data pipelines and analytical models
Strong communication skills for effective teamwork
