Utilities Technician , you’ll be at the forefront of maintaining facility operations by supporting cleaning, maintenance, and utilities-related activities across the plant. What You’ll Be Doing
- Maintain cleanliness of plant areas, equipment, and warehouse spaces
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks on utilities and facility equipment
- Install, clean, and maintain facility components such as fans and flooring
- Support maintenance and facility-related projects and tasks
- Coordinate and communicate project updates and results
- Purchase and manage materials, parts, and cleaning supplies
- Restore and maintain equipment in safe and operational condition
- Properly use and maintain tools and equipment
- Participate in spill response and safety-related activities
- Ensure compliance with Quality Management and EHS standards
- Support continuous improvement (5S, CI) initiatives
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to perform physical work, including lifting (35+ lbs)
- Ability to work in varying conditions (heat, dust, slippery surfaces)
Bonus Points If You Have
- Forklift certification
- Propane handling certification
- Training in confined space entry and working at heights
- Experience transporting dangerous goods
- Experience operating lifts (Skyjack, Genie Boom, etc.)
