Position Title: Part-Time Cosmetic Nurse Injector

We are searching for a qualified and highly motivated part-time Cosmetic Nurse Injector specializing in dermal fillers, neurotoxins, and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatments at our state-of-the-art Cosmetic MedSpa located in NW Calgary Royal Oak. We emphasize patient care, safety, and professionalism while ensuring the clinic continues to operate efficiently as we expand operations.

Job Duties:

1. Patient Consultations: Conduct thorough cosmetic consultations with patients to understand their cosmetic goals, assess their suitability for treatments, and discuss potential risks and benefits of treatments best suited for their concerns.

2. Treatment Planning: Develop customized treatment plans based on individual patient needs, preferences, and medical history, taking into account safety and established CAAM guidelines.

3. Injections and Procedures: Perform cosmetic procedures, including dermal filler injections, neurotoxin injections (e.g., Botox), and PRP treatments, following established protocols and safety guidelines.

4. Injection Expertise: Utilize advanced injection techniques to achieve desired results, ensuring safety and minimizing discomfort for patients.

5. Patient Education : Educate patients about pre- and post-treatment care, potential side effects, and expected outcomes to manage their expectations effectively.

6. Infection Control: Adhere to strict infection control protocols, maintain a sterile environment, and ensure proper disposal of medical waste.

7. Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting treatment plans, procedures performed, product used, and patient outcomes.

8. Emergency Response: Be prepared to handle and manage any adverse reactions or emergencies related to the procedures, following established protocols and seeking assistance if necessary.

9. Patient Follow-Up: Schedule and conduct follow-up appointments to assess treatment results and address any concerns or touch-up needs.

10. Emergency Contact: Be available for on-call duty in case of emergencies or post-treatment concerns, as required by clinic policies.

11. Maintain a Professional Appearance: Maintain a professional and well-groomed appearance, reflecting the clinic's standards.

12. Promotion and Marketing: Assist in promoting clinic services and participate in marketing efforts to attract and retain patients.

13. Flexible Availability : Be flexible with working hours to accommodate patient appointments and the needs of the clinic when filling in for the doctor on leave.

14. Product Knowledge: Stay updated on the latest advancements in cosmetic injectables, skincare products, and techniques, and provide input on product selection and recommendations.

15. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards related to cosmetic procedures and patient care.

16. Patient Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with patients, addressing any questions, concerns, or issues promptly and professionally.

17. Continuing Education: Pursue ongoing education and training in the field of medical aesthetics to enhance skills and stay current with best practices.

18. Collaboration: Collaborate with the clinic's staff, including nurses, medical assistants, and administrative personnel, to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient clinic operations.

19. Adherence to Clinic Policies: Follow clinic policies and procedures related to scheduling, billing, and other administrative tasks.

20. Patient Privacy: Protect patient confidentiality and privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 16 per week

• Bachelor's Degree (required)

Experience:

• Cosmetic Dermal Filler & Neurotoxin Injection: 4 years (required)
• Cosmetic PRP Injection & Exosomes: 4 years (preferred)

Language:

• English (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Nursing License (RN or LPN) (required)
