Aramark operates the post-security Tim Horton's and the Altitude Bistro/Pub at the Romeo Leblanc International Airport. The Cook will assist both the Bistro/Pub and the Tim Hortons.

Job Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes  
• Sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment 
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items 
• Safely uses a variety of utensils including knives 
• Operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc. 
• Bakes, roasts, broils, steams, and uses a variety of cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods 
• Arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to established guidelines  
• Properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures 
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils  
• Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc. 
• Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including accurate food safety and sanitation
• May assist team members with preparing sandwiches and drinks as needed
• May assist with serving guests as needed
• May assist with processing guest transactions, using the POS machine
• Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications

• 2+ years culinary experience 
• Experience working for food service franchise considered an asset 
• Fluency in both French and English an asset 
• Valid WHMIS and Food Safe (Basic or Advanced), First Aid Certification is an asset
• Knowledge of and commitment to upholding high standards of food safety and hygiene
• Additional certification may be required by work location
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently supervised and unsupervised
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine desire to provide outstanding customer service
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth operations

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
