Civil Engineer (m/f/d) GreenTech Startup

Help develop a technology that transforms roads into power plants as a Civil Engineer.

Our client is a rapidly growing GreenTech startup based in Mils that is developing one of the world’s first scalable road power plants. By integrating innovative energy recovery technology into existing roads, the company is creating an entirely new form of renewable energy generation without requiring any additional land sealing.

As a Civil Engineer, you will develop the infrastructure that makes this technology possible worldwide. Together with mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, hydraulics experts and physicists, you will bring innovative concepts from the initial idea through prototypes to real installations on the road.

• Salary: Annual gross salary starting at €55,000, with a clear willingness to offer significantly higher compensation depending on qualifications and experience.

Your responsibilities

As a Civil Engineer, you will develop the infrastructure behind the next generation of sustainable road power plants and support the entire development process through to international implementation.

• Product development: Develop innovative infrastructure components and structural solutions for a pioneering ClimateTech technology.

• Structural engineering: Prepare structural calculations and dimension components for demanding dynamic loads during daily operation.

• Design and documentation: Create technical drawings, production documents and scalable installation and implementation concepts.

• Interdisciplinary development: Work closely with the mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and hydraulics teams to develop integrated technical solutions.

• Materials and standards: Evaluate suitable materials, consider applicable standards and ensure compliance with relevant safety requirements.

• Prototypes and validation: Support the development process from initial concepts through prototypes and testing phases to real pilot projects.

• Certification: Support the preparation of ISO and CE certifications, including technical documentation and verification records.

• Project coordination: Coordinate with manufacturing partners, suppliers, construction companies and public sector project stakeholders and support the implementation process.

• Technical responsibility: Take responsibility for the technical support and coordination of pilot installations and customer projects.

Your profile as Civil Engineer

• Completed degree or vocational training in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a comparable field.

• Several years of professional experience, with a minimum of 2 years, in civil engineering, structural engineering or infrastructure development.

• Confident use of structural analysis software such as ANSYS, SAP2000 or comparable programs.

• Experience with 2D and or 3D CAD software , such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.

• Experience in preparing ISO and CE certifications.

• Fluent Englisch skills and ideally fluent German skills as well, to ensure smooth communication.

• Analytical mindset and a structured, solution oriented approach to work.

• Independent personality with a hands on mentality and enthusiasm for a dynamic startup environment.

• Ideally, you also have startup experience, good English skills and a strong interest in sustainable infrastructure and ClimateTech.
