Job Description

To provide patient-centred care in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment. Providing caring and compassionate care to acute medical and inpatient cardiology patients.

Qualifications

• Current Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Current Heart & Stroke Approved BLS Provider Card upon hire.
• Must have completed Coronary Care 1 Course or demonstrate equivalency within 6 months of hire date
• Must have Telemetry Certification
• Acute medicine experience required, ideally with a focus in cardiology or neurology
• Current Medical-Surgical experience preferred
• Ability to manage a variety of patients conditions across the life span
• Ability to function in a fast-paced environment
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills
• Caring attitude with patients, families and co-workers
• Demonstrates commitment to continuing education
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of this position
• Satisfactory employment and attendance record required

The ideal candidate is strong in patient centered care in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment and should be ready to drive change and innovation. We require a person with good communication skills with a clear patient focus with the ability to manage execution and to foster teamwork and cooperation.

Additional Information

Hours : Monday - Sunday -- Various rotating 8 & 12 hour shifts; 0730-1930; 1930-0730; 2330-0730 (Hours subject to change based on operational requirements)

Salary: $41.15 to $58.98 per hour
