Position Summary Northern Health is seeking locum Anesthetists to work at G.R. Baker Memorial Hospital in Quesnel, British Columbia. Guaranteed daily rate, locum travel, accommodation, and travel time stipend will be reimbursed by Northern Health. You would be working at GR Baker Memorial Hospital, a 45-bed facility, with a team of Family Practice Anesthetists who support two local General Surgeons, OB/GYN, ENT, Dental Surgeons and visiting Plastic and Orthopedic Surgeons. Call coverage for maternity, after‑hours surgery and the emergency department is a requirement. Our OR Department is well supported by a team of nurses with excellent management. We pride ourselves on our collegiality and camaraderie. Locums will receive assistance with their travel and accommodation arrangements and will be situated within minutes of the hospital. Vehicle rentals are also available. Quesnel is approximately 1.5 hours south of Prince George and hosts a regional airport with multiple flights daily to/from Vancouver and Calgary. Prince George – University Hospital of Northern British Columbia is also the tertiary referral hospital of the North (UHNBC). The population of Quesnel is approximately 10,000 with another 13,000 residing in the surrounding area.
