Direct financial operations as Chief Financial Officer at Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board. This executive leadership role focuses on strategic financial planning, stewardship, and system-wide collaboration. Reporting to the CEO, the CFO will be integral to HWDSB's leadership, managing multi-year financial strategies and fostering relationships with all stakeholders. You will provide insights to enhance decision-making, ensure compliance, and advocate for equity across educational funding and resources for a diverse student body of 50,000. Your work will advance HWDSB’s mission of inclusive, high-quality education. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead budgeting and multi-year financial strategy execution
- Ensure accurate financial reporting and audit compliance
- Collaborate across finance, facilities, and transportation
- Direct capital and accommodation strategy planning
- Provide strategic financial counsel to the executive team
- Completion of Business Supervisory Officers’ Qualification Program or eligible within 2 years
- Minimum seven years of senior leadership experience
- Strong financial and operational oversight expertise
- Commitment to equity and accessibility in education
- Ability to cultivate relationships within diverse communities
