Our client, in the automotive manufacturing industry, is seeking a dedicated Shunt Truck Driver to join their team. As a Shunt Truck Driver, you will be an integral part of the shipping and logistics department, supporting the efficient movement of trailers and ensuring smooth operations within the facility. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Shunt Truck Driver
Location: Bridgewater, NS
Pay Range:21.05/hr plus shift premiums
Shift: Rotating Shift Work 7am - 7pm or 7pm - 7am
What's the Job?
- Operate a shunt truck to move trailers between loading docks
- Complete daily vehicle inspections and safety checks
- Refuel and maintain equipment to ensure operational readiness
- Support shipping operations by moving and positioning trailers
- Ensure trailers are correctly placed for loading and unloading processes
What's Needed?
- Valid Class 1 Driver's License
- Ability to work rotating shifts
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Willingness to support shipping and logistics activities
- No prior experience required; training provided
