Medical Laboratory Technologist – Temporary Part Time

Employment Status: Temporary Part Time

Duration (if contract): July 2027 – subject to change as per Article HRH 2 – Management Rights

Hours of Work: Available to work all rotating shifts, including weekends, and commitment of hours as per collective agreement – subject to change as per operational needs & Article HRH 2 – Management Rights

Location: Hennick Humber Hospital, Wilson Site – subject to change as per Article HRH 2 – Management Rights

Reporting Relationship: Manager, Laboratory Services

Hourly Rate: $36.84 – $50.24

Position Responsibilities

• Routine & Stat Laboratory Testing in Microbiology
• Can be assigned and/or trained in other Laboratory Disciplines and other related duties, including but not limited to Pathology

Qualifications

• Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology.
• Current registration as General Medical Laboratory Technologist with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO).
• 2 years of recent Clinical Microbiology experience is preferred.
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge & skills in Clinical Microbiology.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively alone or with all team members, including co-workers, physicians and other health care team members.
• Excellent attendance and discipline-free record required.
• An understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles as they relate to health practices is an asset.
