The Opportunity

HGA IFS is currently seeking a results-driven and experienced Financial Controller to join our firm. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of financial management, be proficient in regulatory compliance, and have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. As a Financial Controller, you will work closely with our clients and internal teams to provide expert financial guidance and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Oversee and manage all aspects of accounting operations for a diverse client portfolio Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide strategic recommendations to optimize financial performance Create and implement financial policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting regulations Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting Collate and analyze financial data to provide forecasts, projections, and budget plans Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor in financial matters Monitor cash flow, manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records Stay updated on accounting standards and regulatory changes, ensuring compliance and best practices Provide guidance and coaching to team members and ensure their professional development

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Senior Accountant, or similar role, preferably in a professional services environment, for a minimum of three years 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience CPA designation Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting Proficiency with accounting software (i.e. QuickBooks suite) and open to learn new ERP systems Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and a focus on data integrity Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to clients and stakeholders Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $61,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
