Our client is a leading heavy construction contractor in Alberta with over 50 years of expertise in civil earthworks, grading, utilities, mine operations and aggregate extraction.
Role Overview We are seeking a skilled Finish Excavator Operator to perform precision stripping, ditching, sloping and leveling on major earth-works projects. You’ll work closely with ground personnel and other equipment operators, maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. Key Responsibilities •Operate excavator to complete finish grading tasks (stripping, ditching, sloping, leveling)Safely work in proximity to ground crews and additional machinery•Champion site safety: follow, enforce and promote all safety protocols
•Monitor equipment condition and report maintenance needs promptly
Qualifications & Requirements
•3–5 years’ experience operating excavators, with proven finish-work ability
•Physically fit and able to perform in demanding outdoor conditions
•Reliable, hard-working and flexible with shift schedules
•Personal reliable vehicle for site access
•CSA-approved steel-toe boots with 6″ ankle support
