Join ALPA as a Labour Relations Counsel in Calgary or Toronto and support the largest airline pilot union. Utilize your legal expertise to address complex labour relations issues effectively. In this role at ALPA, you will provide essential support to pilot governing bodies, offering guidance on employment matters and applying your extensive labour law knowledge. Your responsibilities include negotiating agreements, monitoring contracts, and managing dispute resolution processes. You will also oversee case management functions and assist in preparing documentation related to hearings. Key Responsibilities:
- Support pilots on employment issues and grievances
- Manage complex labour relations assignments swiftly
- Lead negotiation efforts and maintain communication
- Administer union contracts and resolve disputes
- Oversee case management functions and assist staff
- Eligible to work in Canada
- LL.B or equivalent legal degree
- Minimum five years in labour law preferred
- Strong communication skills in English and French
- Experience with legal research tools required
