Senior Staff Data Platform Engineer

Lead Juniper Square’s data platform transformation with advanced SQL and cloud engineering in a remote-first environment across the United States and Canada.As Senior Staff Software Engineer, Data, you will define architecture, operating models, and execution roadmaps for a modern platform. You will guide scalable analytics, reliable data products, and AI-ready infrastructure. The work spans Python, Scala, Java, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.Key Responsibilities:
Define end-to-end data and analytics architecture strategyDesign batch, streaming, and real-time data systemsBuild vector stores, embedding pipelines, and retrieval systemsEstablish governance, lineage, metadata, and quality standardsMentor engineers, analytics engineers, and data scientistsRequirements:
Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field15+ years in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data platformsAdvanced SQL and proficiency in Python, Scala, or JavaExperience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform data servicesExpertise in dimensional modeling, semantic layers, and streaming frameworksShape Juniper Square’s scalable data platform through hands-on architecture, governance, analytics, and AI-ready engineering leadership.
