Principal Engineer - InsurTech Claims at Intact

Join Intact as a Principal Engineer to lead technical innovations in InsurTech Claims and Billing Core Systems. Your focus includes prototyping, code reviews, and resolving high-severity issues, advancing the technology strategy for claims and billing. You will collaborate closely with architects and technical leaders to enhance architectural standards and technical roadmaps. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership through hands-on prototyping and complex issue resolution
- Lead high-severity incident resolution for performance and security
- Define technical standards and architecture for core systems
- Design scalable and cost-effective solutions collaboratively
- Implement AI solutions to boost engineering productivity
- Senior-level experience in software engineering or architecture
- Strong expertise in cloud platforms, APIs, and microservices
- Hands-on experience with Java and Node.js
- Proven ability to mentor and influence teams
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
