Culinary Professional Needed at Humber River Health
Humber River Health
Become a vital part of Humber River Health’s Food Services team as a Cook in North West Toronto. Use your culinary skills to prepare nutritious meals for our patients. We are looking for an experienced Cook dedicated to healthcare. Your responsibilities will include meal preparation and execution for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner, ensuring compliance with food safety standards. This role requires flexibility with shifting schedules, including weekend availability. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare meals for hospital patients
- Ensure food safety and preparation standards are met
- Execute cooking tasks efficiently and effectively
- Collaborate with colleagues for meal quality improvement
- Perform related responsibilities as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Culinary course graduation necessary
- 5 years of working experience in a kitchen setting
- Certification in Food Handlers needed
- Familiarity with HACCP standards and food safety practices
