Materials Management Journeyperson

We are currently seeking a Materials Warehouse Journeyperson to support operations at a heavy industrial site in Kamloops, BC. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient warehouse operations, material handling, and inventory control in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and supplies
• Pick, pack, and issue materials to site operations and maintenance teams
• Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
• Ensure warehouse organization, cleanliness, and compliance with safety standards
• Support shipping/receiving functions including documentation and tracking
• Coordinate with procurement, maintenance, and site teams to ensure material availability
• Follow all site safety procedures and report hazards or incidents promptly

Requirements

• Previous warehouse or industrial materials handling experience (mining or heavy industry preferred).
• Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a safety-sensitive, fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic computer skills for inventory systems and tracking.
• Journeyperson certification or Parts Technician Red Seal.

Nice to Have

• Experience working on mining or remote industrial sites.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar inventory systems.
