Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• a) Be enrolled in a Chemistry or toxicology graduate program
• b) Have completed a BSc. degree in chemistry or a related field
• c) Have previous experience teaching in chemistry laboratories
• d) Have experience in chemical toxicology
• e) Possess solid knowledge of the chemical literature
• f) Be able to demonstrate an enthusiasm for teaching and satisfactory teaching performance
• g) Be able to demonstrate an ability to create and maintain a safe work place
• h) Applicants must be able to provide documentation indicating they have completed the following training programs: Lab Safety Training (EHS), WHMIS Training (EHS), Worker Health & Safety Awareness (EHS), Accessible Service Provision (CourseLink) and Making Education Accessible (CourseLink)

Selection of successful candidates will be made in accordance with Article 11.04 of the CUPE 3913-1 collective agreement. Assignments to particular courses will be made in accordance with departmental needs and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• a) Have taken at least 2 Toxicology courses as an undergraduate student
• b) Have taken TOX*2000 as a student or have experience as a TA for TOX*2000.
