Night Auditor ( This is an overnight position )

Job Responsibility: MUST Have a Valid OPEN Work permit

The Delta St. John's Hotel is a 403 room fast paced, high volume conference hotel. We strive to foster a strong service culture and team environment so that the needs of our guests and associates are met in equal measure.

We are seeking a qualified Night Auditor. This is Full Time position. We offer an attractive wage and benefits package as well as an industry leading defined benefit pension program in addition to many travel perks.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

• Balancing of the day's business for all areas of the hotel accurately and timely;

• End of day procedures for: OPERA, Symphony, World Cinema , MITEL, MARSHA interfaces.
• Data entry in Westmont
• Handling of late arrivals and early departures;
• Production and distribution of daily reports as required;
• Ensuring all guest room rates are correct and balanced;
• Guest Service Agent responsibilities, as required;
• Daily Cash Deposits
• VLT's closing
• Full knowledge and understanding of emergency procedures;
• Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:

• Post secondary education in Accounting with working knowledge of computerized systems; an asset;

• Knowledge of Micros system and balancing of end of day F & B procedures required

• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel required;
• Experience in OPERA Front Office required;
• One year's experience in Hotel Industry in Front Desk area, required;
• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills;

• Must be a responsible, organized individual who can work with minimum supervision and display confidence in dealing with stressful situations;

• Must be honest, reliable and dependable;
• Must demonstrate behaviour consistent with core values;
• Must be a team orientated individual with good interactive skills.
