Senior Distribution Line Engineer British Columbia

Design resilient power systems with WSP as a Senior Distribution Line Engineer in any British Columbia office, using overhead and underground expertise.This senior engineering role supports Power Delivery projects involving low- and medium-voltage distribution systems. You will lead technical work, mentor engineers, designers, and drafters, collaborate with clients and project teams, and strengthen practical solutions across the national practice.Key Responsibilities:
Lead distribution line design teams on utility projectsPrepare overhead and underground design packagesReview calculations, equipment sizing, specifications, and construction documentationApply utility, CSA, and powerline construction standardsSupport construction through site visits and engineering guidanceRequirements:
Engineering degree and current British Columbia P.Eng license10 to 15 years of distribution line design experienceExperience with 4 kV to 35 kV systemsExperience using PLS-CADD, SPIDAcalc, or similar softwareKnowledge of grounding, clearances, load calculations, and utility practicesBring senior distribution design leadership, technical review, and power delivery expertise to WSP projects across British Columbia.
