JOB PURPOSE

This role is part of our Global Studios team. We create emotive yet conversion-focused ideas, products and campaigns at scale and speed. Our specialty is hyper-personalised, digital communications that change perceptions, shape new behaviours, and shift market share for our clients.

As an Account Director for our North American In-House function, you will take full operational ownership of our embedded account portfolio in Toronto and across North America. You will provide day-to-day leadership across recruitment, onboarding, client servicing, commercial administration, reporting and employee support, working closely with the Client Partner and delivery teams.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Protect existing revenue through proactive management of client SOWs, POs, team backfills, and contract renewals/extensions. Maintain tight commercial discipline with consistent reporting, forecasting, and portfolio governance.
• Serve as the primary operational anchor for key clients across North America, driving day-to-day engagement, enhancing client experience, and ensuring rapid issue resolution.
• Partner with DEPT® 's recruitment team in candidate reviewing and interviewing for embedded inhouse roles, and take dedicated ownership of onboarding, and team integration to ensure our embedded talent is effectively set up for success inside client environments.
• Partner with leadership to establish clear ownership, aligned workflows, and scalable operational structures capable of supporting regional and global expansion.
• Handle all operational and administrative mechanics, ensuring seamless delivery while identifying organic growth signals within current accounts.

WHAT YOU BRING:

• Proven track record within a digital agency or consultancy
• Strong understanding of resource management, forecasting, SOW structuring, and revenue protection through proactive renewal management.
• Experience building, embedding, or managing dedicated agency teams inside client organizations across multiple markets.
• Exceptional relationship-building skills with a track record of driving cross-functional alignment, managing embedded talent, and resolving client delivery friction quickly.
• Highly organized operator who embodies a "get sh*t done" mindset, thriving in fast-paced matrix environments without losing sight of governance and structure.

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $90,000 - $100,000 CAD. Salary is based on relevant experience, expertise, and organizational impact.
