Senior Power Systems Planning Consultant

Lead transmission planning and analysis for Sargent & Lundy in a hybrid schedule with three in-office days and two remote days weekly.This senior consulting role supports utility planning and advisory projects for ISO/RTO organizations and electric utilities. You will analyze load flow, stability, short circuit, and electromagnetic transients. The work also includes generator interconnection applications, models, and study reviews.Key Responsibilities:
Perform transmission system planning and analysis studiesPrepare generator interconnection applications and conceptual single line diagramsVerify compliance with reactive power requirementsDevelop steady-state, dynamic, and short circuit modelsReview ISO feasibility and system impact studiesRequirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical EngineeringMinimum six years of relevant power systems engineering experienceLoad flow and contingency analysis experienceTransmission planning software experience with PSS/E, PSLF, or TARAEligibility for required U.S. export-controlled information accessApply transmission planning, contingency analysis, and interconnection expertise to client projects with Sargent & Lundy’s Consulting Group.
