We're LEDPAX (USA) and GNG Sales (Canada) — a growing, cross-border LED lighting business — and we're hiring a Director of Accounting and Finance to own and build out our finance department. This is a hands-on role with real ownership and room to grow as the company grows.We're looking for someone ready to take the next step up — a strong accountant and emerging leader who wants to own a finance function end to end, not just a seat in a large team. We recently consolidated onto Odoo as our single system of record, and we're building the finance function to match the pace of the business.What you'll do
Own finance process excellence across both companiesRun a reliable, on-time month-end and year-end closeDeliver consolidated reporting across entities and divisionsBuild cash flow forecasting and a company budget with variance analysisStrengthen controls — AP approvals, expense reporting, AR/collectionsOwn intercompany accounting and consolidationsBuild accurate inventory reporting across 3PL partnersManage US & Canada tax, remittances, and cross-border payrollLead the annual engagement review and manage third-party firms (accountants, auditors, advisors)Serve as the primary banking liaison across both countriesLead and develop the finance team;
set the cadence and standardsImplement HR policies and oversee hiring, onboarding, and people processesPartner with ownership on strategy, growth, and company performanceKeep optimizing our Odoo ERPWhat we're looking for
CPA or equivalent (or working toward it), with solid accounting experienceReady to step up into an ownership role — ambitious, driven, and hands-onAn emerging leader who can build, coach, and set standards for a small teamDetail-oriented — equally strong in the numbers and with peopleMonth-end close and financial reporting experience (multi-entity a plus)Intercompany, consolidations, cash flow, and budgeting experienceExperience with annual engagement reviews and managing third-party firmsComfortable acting as a banking liaisonERP experience (Odoo a plus)Open to implementing HR policies and supporting hiringComposed under pressure, solutions-oriented, a clear communicatorThe details
