Join WSP as a Senior Technical Advisor, focusing on Upstream Oil and Gas sector remediation in Edmonton or Calgary. Leverage your expertise to mentor staff and shape innovative closure strategies. WSP is looking for a Senior Technical Advisor who will lead in developing and implementing risk management and closure plans for contaminated Upstream Oil and Gas sites. With a minimum of 20 years in environmental consulting, you will review reports, engage stakeholders, and mentor junior colleagues in their site assessment and remediation efforts, ensuring the high standards of health and safety are met. Key Responsibilities:
- Create closure and risk management plans for sites
- Evaluate reports drafted by project teams
- Actively engage with regulatory bodies and stakeholders
- Promote innovative practices for sustainable site closure
- Mentor junior staff in remediation practices
- Degree in Environmental Sciences or a comparable field
- 20 years of experience in Upstream Oil and Gas consulting
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
- Certification and professional registration essential
- Safety awareness with experience in field conditions
