Accounting Technician

As a member of our team, you will work closely with hotel managers, department heads, and the regional office to ensure the proper follow-up of daily accounting operations and the accurate transmission of financial information.

What You Will Do

Reporting to the General Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

Manage daily accounting operations

• Manage the hours worked by management and unionized employees.

• Reconcile banquet events with the corresponding contracts.

• Review and correct daily revenues.

• Record and reconcile daily deposits, including credit card transactions.

• Prepare and submit the required documents to the regional office within the established deadlines.

Manage accounts payable

• Receive, verify, match, code, and record invoices.

• Perform the necessary follow-ups in Sage 300 and Adaco.

• Follow up on requests from guests, suppliers, department heads, and the regional office.

• Collaborate with the regional office during the monthly closing process.

Contribute to internal controls

• Actively participate in the application of internal policies and procedures.

• Participate in monthly and annual inventory counts.

• Ensure the accuracy and compliance of accounting information.

• Contribute to the improvement of processes and work tools.

• Participate in the Manager on Duty program.

• Perform any other related duties requested by management or the regional office.

What You Bring

• Functional bilingualism in French and English, both spoken and written.

• A college diploma in accounting, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

• A strong aptitude for accounting and administrative operations.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.

• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple files simultaneously.

• Experience with accounting software or hotel information systems.

• Experience as a hotel day or night auditor is an asset.

• Experience as an accounting clerk or accounting technician is an asset.

• Experience with Sage 300 or Adaco is an asset.

• A professional attitude and strong teamwork skills.
