Supply Chain/Procurement Senior Sourcing Analyst-Assistant Vice President

The Supply Chain/Procurement Sourcing Senior Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for leading software and platform sourcing projects and activities such as the negotiation of terms of price, quantity and delivery, analyzing comparable suppliers, and driving optimal contracts. The overall objective of this role is to source optimal third‑party provided goods and services in support of the company's businesses.

Responsibilities

• Lead a number of software, SaaS, and/or platform sourcing projects at one time, and drive optimal value across the sourcing book of work.
• Build sourcing and supply base strategy, develop standards, policies, targets, and category strategies as well as coordinate the sourcing process for the various products and services within the procurement group.
• Lead and/or participate in global category forums maintaining high level sourcing processes and team.
• Develop and/or implement market analyses/benchmarking processes and leverage key insights to inform and support the category strategy development process.
• Perform financial modeling and lead development and execution of negotiation strategies for high‑value and complex multi‑year deals.
• Develop strategies for sourcing, supplier management, negotiation, productivity, and customer and supplier relationships.
• Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
• Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
• Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in sourcing or procurement in a large, multi-national organization.
• Experience in leading strategic sourcing projects.
• Experience in complex deal structuring, negotiations, and contracting.
• Advanced computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Excel.
• Financial acumen and ability to build and manage effective cost analyses and business cases.
• Demonstrated strategic sourcing/procurement, stakeholder management, relationship management, and influencing skills.
• Experience in sourcing of software, SaaS, complex platforms, business applications, application development & maintenance (ADM), and marketing and marketing technology are all a plus.
• Experience in financial services a plus.
• Experience in branded management consulting a plus.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
