What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities):
* Month-End & Reporting: Execute month-end closing activities and generate draft financial statements (Trial Balances, Income Statements, Balance Sheets).
* Compliance & Tax: Prepare and process Canadian government remittances (GST/HST, PST, payroll source deductions, and WCB premiums).
* Client Advisory: Act as a primary point of contact for local business owners, gather source documents, and help clients streamline their financial data flow. ------------------------------
Who You Are (Qualifications & Skills): * Experienced: You have an Accounting/Bookkeeping diploma or certificate, plus 2+ years of progressive full-cycle bookkeeping experience (multi-client or firm environment preferred).
* Tech-Savvy: You possess advanced proficiency in cloud software like Quick Books Online or Sage, and you know your way around Excel (VLOOKUPs and pivot tables).
* Knowledgeable: You have a solid understanding of Canadian GAAP for small business
