Machinist - Journeyman

Main Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and engineering information in order to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to fabricate products
- Operate machine tools such as: Horizontal boring mill, conventional type mill, lathes, surface grinder, radial drill and portable align boring equipment
- Operate metal shaping machines, such as brakes, shears and other metal straightening, and bending machines
- Work in a safe and effective manner
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills
- Extensive manual machining experience required
- Must be well experienced on Manual Lathes, Manual Milling Machines, Vertical/Horizon Boring Mills, Radial Arm Drills and drill press
- Must be familiar with pumps, Motors and Valves
- CNC experience, Machinist/Millwright, dual ticketed would be an asset
Required Certifications
- Valid Red Seal or Journeyman Certificate (Trade credential must be recognized in Alberta)
- H2S Alive
- Fall Protection
- Confined Space
- WHMIS 2015
- One of the following Valid Safety Tickets; CSO,BSO or CSTS-09
WORKING CONDITIONS
- 7&7 (Shift Cycle is subject to change)
- Day shift
- Charter flights to/from Edmonton or Calgary to/from Site
- Camp accommodations
- Ability to lift and carry objects independently or as a team
- Ability to meet and maintain site access requirements
