Equipment Maintenance Technician

Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Equipment Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Equipment Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Equipment Maintenance Technician

Location: Ottawa, ON

Pay Range: $24/hr - $26.40/hr

Shift: Rotating day and night shifts 7am-7pm

What's the Job?

• Support and perform on-demand repairs and preventative maintenance for all manufacturing equipment.
• Monitor, maintain, and calibrate pneumatic, electronic, and electrical equipment in various production areas.
• Install, align, dismantle mechanical and controls equipment using hand and power tools.
• Read procedures, blueprints, and schematics to troubleshoot automation equipment including mechanical, pneumatics, PLCs, and servo control systems.
• Document maintenance activities and communicate equipment issues effectively with engineering teams.

What's Needed?

• Electro-Mechanical or Electrical/Mechanical Technician Diploma or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with operation, assembly, and maintenance of electro-mechanical equipment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work independently and respond effectively to changing environments.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
