Wikwemikong Tribal Police Service seeks an Experienced Police Constable for a permanent, fulltime role. Join the community commitment in preserving peace and assisting victims in the Wikwemikong Unceded Territory. The Experienced Police Constable will report to the Chief of Police, maintaining law and order through community-focused policing. Ideal candidates will bring experience from a Canadian police agency along with a strong dedication to community involvement, cultural competence, and effective law enforcement practices. Key Responsibilities:
• Preserve peace and prevent crimes in the community
• Assist victims and apprehend criminals as needed
• Lay charges and participate in prosecutions
• Respond to calls for service and execute warrants
• Participate in community events and cultural gatherings Requirements:
• Valid Ontario Police College Certificate or equivalent
• Diploma in Police Foundations or Degree in Law and Criminal Justice preferred
• Valid class G Ontario Driver License
• Current First Aid/CPR Certificates
• Strong awareness of First Nation culture and traditions Bring your expertise in law enforcement to support the community through the Wikwemikong Tribal Police Service.
