Director of PPC and SEO

Lead PPC and SEO for Blacksmith Agency remotely across the USA, Canada, or South Africa. Manage specialists and own search marketing standards.

As Director of Search Marketing, you lead the department and manage its PPC strategist and SEO strategist. This management seat owns quality, development, reviews, client results, and escalation decisions. You will set standards for audits, reporting, attribution, and GA4 accuracy across multifamily, B2B, and technical accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage PPC and SEO strategists, reviews, development, and performance decisions
Define quality standards for audits, reporting, and account delivery
Own client results, attribution review, and GA4 accuracy
Diagnose at-risk accounts and lead client escalations
Set channel strategy, budgets, sales commitments, and hiring plans

Requirements:

Management experience owning specialist reviews and development
Seven or more years across paid media and SEO
Depth in Google Ads, GA4, Search Console, Meta, and Microsoft Ads
Ability to explain a measurable account turnaround
Agency experience managing many accounts concurrently

Own Blacksmith Agency’s search department through paid media, SEO, client leadership, and accountable team management.
