ServiceNow AI Architect

Our client, a leading aviation company in Canada, is hiring an experienced ServiceNow AI Architect to join the team remotely on a part-time contract. The successful candidate will partner with a central platform team, delivering strategic architectural guidance and hands-on support across Now Assist, AI solutions, automation initiatives and ServiceNow platform governance.
Responsibilities
Provide architectural leadership and hands-on expertise in implementing ServiceNow Now Assist, identifying impactful use cases and establishing delivery roadmaps.
Design, develop and optimize automation solutions using Flow Designer, App Engine and ServiceNow development tools.
Support the creation of an effective AI governance framework, leveraging practical knowledge of ServiceNow AI Control Tower capabilities.
Provide guidance on ServiceNow platform evolution, including multi-instance architecture, governance frameworks and secure business-led development models.
Deliver architectural input into an ongoing source-to-pay transformation program, using ServiceNow as an integrated digital experience layer across existing systems.
Assess technical approaches and communicate recommendations clearly to both technical teams and business stakeholders.
Produce high-quality architectural documentation, design decisions and recommendations to support scalable platform growth.
Partner with the internal ServiceNow team as a trusted advisor, combining strategic vision with hands-on delivery expertise.
Skillset
Extensive ServiceNow architecture experience delivering solutions within large, complex enterprise environments.
Proven hands-on experience implementing ServiceNow Now Assist in production environments, from strategy through to delivery.
Strong expertise across core ServiceNow capabilities, including ITSM, CMDB/CSDM, integrations, Flow Designer and App Engine.
Experience designing scalable ServiceNow architectures and establishing effective platform governance models.
Strong understanding of ServiceNow AI capabilities, including AI Search, Semantic Search, Virtual Agent and AI Agents / agentic workflows.
Practical experience with ServiceNow AI Control Tower and supporting AI governance initiatives.
Relevant ServiceNow certifications, including CSA, CAD, CTA, or AI-focused micro-certifications, are highly desirable.
Experience working within aviation, transportation or other highly regulated enterprise environments is a plus.
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear recommendations for business and non-technical stakeholders.
Proven ability to work independently in a part-time consulting capacity, providing strategic guidance and hands-on expertise.
